W. Drake (Bradford) Ltd has further strengthened its engineering capabilities with the delivery and installation of a new Comtec AC 170 boring machine at its workshop.

To oversee the commissioning of the machine, John Dormer, Managing Director of Serdi UK, travelled to Yorkshire to personally assist with setup and training. During the visit, Dormer demonstrated the operation and setup of the equipment alongside James McEvoy, Managing Director of W. Drake (Bradford) Ltd.

The addition of the Comtec AC 170 represents a significant investment in precision engineering technology for the company. It complements the existing machinery at Drake’s workshop, including Schou horizontal boring equipment and Sunnen honing machines, further enhancing the company’s ability to deliver high-quality machining services.

James McEvoy commented on the acquisition: “We are committed to investing in advanced equipment to ensure we continue providing the highest standards of service to our customers. The Comtec AC 170 is a valuable addition to our workshop.”
