The Federation of Engine Remanufacturers has held its largest conference for many years at the The Motorist, Leeds.
The conference featured practical demonstrations as well as insightful presentations from Elring, Ajusa and Hartech into engine reconditioning practices.
In the afternoon, there were practical demonstrations include driving Porsche cars, roughness test with Mahr tool, Cylinder diameter gauge and a roughness test on cylinder head.
This was followed by the federation’s AGM and evening dinner at the Park Inn by Radisson, York.
Rod Bennett of FER said: “I’m delighted the conference was so well attended and it was great to mix the theory with the practical. The conference was designed to add further insight and technical expertise to the membership and I’m pleased that we have delivered on that for the members attending.”
Copies of presentations will be made available to members, or by emailing rod@fer.co.uk
