Leading UK independent oil blender, Millers Oils, has recently become a technical partner to FER. FER members can now benefit from the use of Vision oil analysis services, best practice lubrication training, and preferential pricing on Millers Oils products.
Vision oil analysis reports can provide information not only on the health of the oil, but also the condition of any components that are in contact with the oil – without the need for disassembly. This information is invaluable in determining whether an oil change is required, and even for helping to identify causes in cases of equipment failure.
By analysing just an 80 ml sample of oil, Millers Oils can report and interpret data on viscosity, additive levels, contamination and wear metals, which can indicate premature wear to gearbox and engine components. The analysis service is also available for fuel, power steering fluid, anti-freeze and industrial lubricants, and results and recommendations can be sent directly to FER members via e-mail. Founded in 1887, Millers Oils has a wealth of knowledge on best practice lubrication and is offering training for FER members, as either online webinars or on site next year at its Academy training room in Brighouse, West Yorkshire.
The training will be created and delivered by Millers Oils expert chemists and engineers, and can be tailored to FER members’ requirements.
Millers Oils blends its own high quality oils, lubricants and treatments for the automotive, commercial vehicle and industrial sectors. The range includes engine, gear, hydraulic and compressor oils, as well as more specialised products and metalworking fluids. Products are available at preferential pricing to FER members via Millers Oils authorised distributor and FER member, Excel Automotive Group, or direct from Millers Oils.
As two longstanding organisations in the UK engineering industry, the new partnership between the FER and Millers Oils is a perfect match, and one where FER members will find tangible benefits.
Tony Lowe, Managing Director at Millers Oils adds:
“We are delighted to be appointed technical partner to the FER and are dedicated to working in collaboration with members, adding value to their businesses through our high quality products, training and service programmes for many years to come.”
